Ring Sizing Guide

Sizing  

Sally will ensure that the correct ring size is measured when customers visit her studio for a consultation.  Customers who are providing their own sizing measurement are asked to be as accurate as possible. If you are unsure of your size, we can send you a set of ring sizers or your local jeweller can provide a sizing service.

Measuring  

A ring should fit comfortably and snugly on your finger.  There should be a little resistance when it slides over your knuckle in order for the ring to remain safely on your finger.  Finger sizing can change throughout the day and they can be sensitive to temperature changes. It is important to measure your finger when your hands are an average temperature and at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest.

Band width  

Wider ring bands require a larger ring size and there can often be up to whole ring size in difference.  We recommend ordering the next ring size up for a particularly wide band.  Please get in touch with Sally for advice before ordering.  

Gemstone rings  

Some ring designs including heavily gemstone set pieces can be difficult, (although not impossible) to resize once the gemstones are set.  Sally is happy to size a ring design during the making process, prior to gemstone setting in order to ensure the size is as accurate as possible.

Sizing costs  

All rings that have been measured by Sally during the consultation can be resized once, free of charge and a quotation can be provided for any further changes.  Sizing provided by customers will be subject to a resizing fee of £25 - £50.  If additional precious metal is required, Sally will provide a quotation to reflect this additional cost.

Packaging

Your jewellery will be supplied in a beautifully crafted jewellery box alongside branded stationery. All delivery packaging is made from recycled materials.

Delivery

UK

All custom orders sent within the UK are shipped free of charge.  

UK delivery for jewellery purchased from Sally’s shop is £10 and items will be sent by fully insured Royal Mail Special Delivery.

International orders  

All international orders, (now including the European Union) will be sent by an insured, tracked courier service at cost price, typically, this cost is between £35 and £60 depending on the value of the items. Please note, the customer is responsible for any taxes and handling fees. Please allow up to 5 working days to arrive.
